The band

Black Sapphire was founded in Essen in 2022. Every member spent years in other bands before finding their musical home here.

The music combines metallic heaviness, brilliant guitar tone, melodic softness and hugely catchy choruses with layered song structures. Gabriel Medina’s vocals use their full range – from smooth and catchy to raw and aggressive, with shouts and screams as highlights.

The debut single “Burn Together” was a striking first statement. The debut album “Wake”, recorded at Homebox Audio Studios, is out in 2026.
